Report your meter reading to ComEd

Today we got a call from ComEd asking to report our meter reading in order to avoid being charged for an estimated reading. Past experiences show that those readings are grossly overestimated so if you want to avoid dealing with ComEd billing go to this link https://support.comed.com/doc/ce10030.xml

Also if anyone knows where meters to be read are located please explain in the comments section.

  1. They're in the utility closet on each floor. Of course you can't open them, so we're kind of SOL on that.

  2. Wonder if our on-site maintenance manager, Andy has access to these. Andy is usually here during business hours, but likely tomorrow is an exception. It appears we have until Thursday at 5 pm to enter our readings. If anyone gains access to meters (through Andy or otherwise) please post here.

  4. I had Andy open up the utility closet on the 8th floor and my reading ready 02276. It looked like all the meters read the same, but I wasn't positive. I'm also not sure if they are different by floor or not. Andy is currently in the building (as of 10:07 am on Thursday morning) so if you're here and need his help, I'm sure he'd be willing to help you out.

  5. Ok, I might be wrong because it says that 2276 is too high and that it should be between 1125 and 1299. Maybe it was 1276 - might need to confirm one more time.
