Chess Lofts Water Infiltration Survey

Most of you have likely received the survey either via e-mail or via a hard copy. Nevertheless here's the link.

Please take the time to complete this survey.

Also there's a new poll to determine the necessity for this site - please cast your vote.

  1. I believe this site is very important to ALL home owners to have a voice and to be able to communicate our concerns to the new board for chess lofts.
I also believe in the non a bias blog platform such as this blog so homeowners can be heard and all topics are open for discussion . It's imperative that" we "the homeowners make sure the board is working always in our best interest .
The board might want to set up their own website to keep homeowners
Informed to current projects , upcoming projects and long term goals for this building.
Let's keep the blog going and get the word out. Why not email the blog link to the current homeowners so they can bookmark it!!!
Also great to see some common areas getting cleaned up and the survey is a good way to target problems we are facing.
    Let's keep the conversation going.

  2. Does anyone else smell marijuana around the building, or perhaps even in their unit? The unmistakable smell comes in through my bathroom vents 4-5 times per week at least. I will be escalating this issue to the police and board of directors, concurrently.

I should be surprised that these idiots don't realize where those vents in their bathrooms go, but I am.

  3. I vote to keep this site. This is such a great tool to keep all informed of the issues in the building both good and bad. Seems when something is posted to the tack board near the the main office its selective as to what information remains posted. Pertinent messages have been torn down within a day. Not sure why it was installed in the first place!
Sorry neighbor no smell of marijuana BUT every month there is a MAJOR MAJOR domestic dispute on my floor and its getting worst Has anyone heard the screaming, swearing, punching the walls lately?

  6. For those of you claiming that your smell pot, you need to inform Erickson Mgmt or reveal your unit #'s. You share the same vent the units directly below and above you as well as those next to you. Erickson can then determine who might be the culprit - esp given how many renters we have. It might very well be your next-door neighbor.

To the comment above who mentioned a domestic dispute, if the fighting was that bad you need to find out where it is coming from and call 911. It cannot be that hard to determine where screaming is coming from - walk into the hallway if you have to and determine which unit # it is coming. To casually mention if we've heard this and just leave it at that is not believable, sorry.

  8. I have called maintenance manager, Mandy at Erickson Management. She said they've dispatched GT Electrical contractor to fix it today. They have no ETA, but hopefully soon, with the way the weather has turned.

  10. Does anyone have information as to when Chess elevators have been inspected? . Usually there should be a notice posted with dates inside the elevators. seems like the elevator that is not used for moving gets stuck more often lately .

  11. Please smokers put out your cigarettes in your own ashtray, and do not flick them over your balcony on the
decks below, this is a fire hazard and a sloppy way to operate.
