Forum is up!

Dear Chess Lofts residents,

We're excited to announce that the official blog for our association is up and running (only to be mentioned once: my name is Sergey and I have recently purchased a unit here at Chess Lofts, but going forward a neutral editorial "we" will be used)!

Ever since we've moved here to Chess Lofts, we immediately had tons of questions relating to many day-to-day issues, like the association, board meetings, taxes, Soldier Field parking permits, the neighborhood, internet and cable options to name a few. We're sure at some point you've felt the same and scrambled to get the answers you needed and left countless voice-mails to our property manager, Jessica. We felt there was an information vacuum that needed to be filled; there needed to be a forum for all of our neighbors to socialize, share knowledge and tips and to make all of our lives easier.

This site was created in a blog format and may eventually evolve into something completely different depending on the nature of participation. We welcome you and ask that you take it away in the comments section with your thoughts, comments and suggestions.

  1. Is there a proper association? Is the building even turned over to the condo board or is it still owned by the developer?

  2. Jessica Knight is our property manager and we believe there is a meeting coming up at the end of February to discuss several things, including turning over the building and forming the association board. We will post here as soon as we confirm the date and time.

  4. Absolutely! Thanks for posting. When the building is turned over to the association and the board is formed we will host minutes, Rules and Regulations, Declarations etc. We may have to restrict access to those documents only to owners, but we'll see then.

  5. Did anybody find it odd during the election that vince brought the developers 23 unsold units ballots to the meeting and one of the home owners that help count votes saw that the developer had voted for two people that do not live in the building. As well they happen to live in another dipiazza development that dipiazza holds a current address and both individuals are in the real estate bussinees.? And now reside on the chess lofts board .?
